Replacement Reed valves.
Generator Guru says:
On a 2-cycle engine such as this, the reed valves, work as a one-way valve for the fuel. They prevent fuel from being pushed back into the Carb, and help the exhaust escape. If any of the following apply, you will need to replace your reed valves:
- Engine is producing a grey or black smoke
- Spark plug continuously needs cleaning
- Engine runs rough, misfires or "misses a beat"
The Reed Valves work on a compression/vacuum basis which can be affected if the parts adjoining are not air-tight. We therefore suggest you buy a "Gasket Kit" when replacing this part.
