Replacement Muffler Exhaust System Flexi-pipe for Super Silent Generators.
Generator Guru says:
If your Super Silent Generator box is filling with smoke or soot, chances are it is this part that has failed. The flexible pipe can wear over time and split due to the vibration of the engine.
Sometimes you can access this part without taking off the whole Super Silent cover. To do this you will need to:
- Remove the panel over the exhaust. 10mm
- Remove the top muffler, leaving the bottom in place if possible.
- Behind this top muffler, you will find the Flexi-pipe. Undo the 2 bolts where it attaches to the engine to replace. (You will need a long extender bar for your ratchet/socket set to reach these bolts.)
We suggest you replace all 3 disturbed muffler gaskets when replacing this item.
