This Kit includes a replacement Idle Solenoid and a Battery Charging Rectifier.
Generator Guru Says:
This part provides electric throttle control. If your engine is revving erratically or just running at high revs, this may be the part at fault. To test, remove from the generator and apply 12V to the terminals, the solenoid should protrude.
You will need to replace the whole system supplied to fix this fault. You will also need to be sure the Cooling pipe located below the Idle Solenoid should be facing down and directing the heat away from the body of the generator.
