This part will wear out over time. It is used to conduct the current from the rotor to the AVR. Your brushes should protrude 13mm from the housing to make a stable connection with the rotor. Remove the brushes before measuring.

Parts look new? won't know for a while. My generator is new and works fine. I bought these parts for back up,like the generator.May swap out the AVR's just to test the new one. You can't fix something if you don't have new parts.

I was really surprised GG had the parts and was so quick on delivery .... got them in already.
Considering the distance the product had to travel, shipping was prompt. The item was not exactly for my generator. I had confidence it would work thanks to the measurements provided by the generator guru site. A piece of equipment I thought would be useless is now back in service.
