I needed a replacement air housing as the OEM unit on my portable was found to be breaking apart. I suspect the fractures occurred when it backfired switching the fuel supply from gasoline to propane. This replacement is made using steel for the housing. It fit up nicely to the original mounting holes and the foam filter element is about 2x as large. I installed it 2 months ago and use this generator on the weekends. I'm very happy with the purchase. It's not just a replacement, it's an upgrade in my opinion.
